FAQ - Coaching

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is coaching for?

Coaching is for anyone going through a period of change, self-doubt, or simply wanting to move forward in life.
Whether you're seeking clarity, renewed energy, or want to overcome a specific block, coaching is for you — if you're ready to grow with awareness and confidence.

You don’t need to be struggling to start coaching:
you just need the desire to feel better, or go further.

What’s the difference between coaching and psychotherapy?

Coaching is a forward-focused process. It helps individuals reach a goal, overcome a temporary difficulty, gain clarity, or tap into their inner resources during times of change.

Psychotherapy, on the other hand, is aimed at healing emotional pain — often rooted in the past — such as deep wounds or more persistent psychological issues.

🧭 In short:
Coaching is for someone who is mentally healthy, but wants to move forward.
Therapy is for someone who wants to heal.

And sometimes, the two approaches are complementary.
As a coach, I may refer someone to a mental health professional if I feel their needs go beyond the coaching framework.
It’s a matter of ethics — and respect for everyone involved.

How can coaching can help me during a club transition?Changing clubs is about more than wearing a new jersey.
It often means a new environment, a new city or even country, new expectations, a different way of working… and pressure to perform quickly.

Coaching can help you:

  • Clarify your needs and priorities

  • Manage stress and emotions linked to change

  • Find your bearings in a new environment

  • Communicate more calmly with those around you

  • Maintain personal and professional balance to stay aligned and perform at your best

And if you’re arriving with your family, they can be part of the process too —
because collective well-being is key to your stability and success on the field.

What happens during a session ? Is it really useful ?

Each session lasts around one hour and is held in complete confidentiality.
We start with a time to share what you’re currently experiencing, and then move forward together based on what comes up — a question, a challenge, an emotion, or a goal…

I guide you with active listening, focused questions, and sometimes practical tools like the emotion wheel, timeline, or life tree.
The goal isn’t to give you ready-made answers, but to help you uncover your own keys to move forward.

Is it useful? Absolutely — if you’re ready to commit to the process.
